Discussion:
[ioquake3] small list of pak0.pk3 locations

Hey if you happen to have a quake 3 cd sitting near you, either baseq3
or missionpack. I'd appreciate it if you would reply to this message
with a short description of which disc includes it, the location of
pak0.pk3 for baseq3, and, optionally, the location of pak0.pk3 for
missionpack.

I've got Ultimate Quake here, so that one is easy enough.

Thanks!

Location? Do you mean like, the path to it? Or its contents. Either way I
don't have Quake 3 so I can't help :(

So what does the directory structure for Ultimate Quake look like? I
don't see it posted anywhere. Quake 3 Gold would be nice, too (perhaps
it's identical to Ultimate Quake anyway).

08/08/2001 08:04 AM 36 q3config.cfg
8 File(s) 504,794,692 bytes
2 Dir(s) 0 bytes free

I'm too lazy to break the seal on my Teen Arena disc to see if I have any
special version of that (was there a Teen Arena Gold or something?) I
don't remember why I even bought it since I never opened it and played it.

Meh, looking at it now, it must have been part of the Q3 Gold bundle? The
serial on the outside of the case lists "Q3 Gold 1.30" as well. Ok, just
for you guys, I will totally destroy the collectability value of this game
I was too apathetic to install!

Q3 Gold Teen Arena:

Directory of E:\Setup\missionpack

09/16/2001 01:54 PM <DIR> .
09/16/2001 01:54 PM <DIR> ..
12/07/2000 11:17 AM 351,623,691 PAK0.PK3
08/21/2001 04:24 AM 383,888 pak1.pk3
2 File(s) 352,007,579 bytes
2 Dir(s) 0 bytes free

There are no other PK3 files on either of those discs. Just quake3 for Q3
and missionpack for TA. I note that my "gold" discs are different than
that other bloke's TA disc. Probably since my version is 1.30.

BTW, I had edited it to show D: to be consistent with the previous results
listed in the Wiki, but I forgot to edit TA's listing. Oops! In case
anyone was wondering why the drive letters were different.
